  • Knowing

    Knowing nothing
    Makes you ignorant
    Knowing something
    Makes you curious
    Knowing everything
    Makes you arrogant
    Thinking you know
    Often makes you wrong
    Knowing you know
    Makes you happy
    Knowing of saddness
    Makes you despair
    Knowing of despair
    Makes you want to help
    Thinking of helping
    But never doing
    Makes you lazy
    Getting up
    And lending a hand
    Giving help
    Taking nothing
    Getting to reward
    EXCEPT
    seeing despair turn into happiness
    Makes you wonderful!

  • Summer

I have a horrrible feeling that this summer is going to be a repeat of the last one. I mean - being out of school is great... but it makes life so boring. All I did last year was get dragged around by my parents to places I didn't want to go that they though woould be "Fun and enjoyable experinces." I'd really like to say that they were right and they were great trips, but they were just sooooooooo not! And it really doesn't help that my parents are fighting, my dad's living in DC (I'm living in Illinois right now), my siblings and I cannot get along, and one of my friend has to spend almost the entire summer in Texas with her dad. Oh and my dad wants to us to spend our summer living in a basement that he rented from an old beekeeper lady in DC that only has 1 room and 2 beds. Did I mention that he wants 6 people to live there? AND he has to work full time while we're there. If you ask me I think that my summer is going to be rather bad

Sorry, I just needed to rant a little bit - my parents are kinda driving me nuts right now!

  • Poetry

    Poetry I've written lately:

    Tug o' War

In a game of tug o' war

The people are held together by a single rope

    Pulling harder more and more

Their eyes gleaming with unforgotten hope

But when the rope is snapped in half

    Pulled to hard to laugh

    No one left to laugh

    Away they are all cast

Into unknown nothingness they will go

A rope that no one can mend

Broken by a well known foe

A final end to all ends

    My Maze

So many twists and turns are in a maze

So many directions in which to cast your gaze

So many ways to lose your way

So many temptations just to sit or lay

So many ways just to let uncertainty envelop you

Thanks for reading! Leave comments please! If you have any poetry that you would like to share just put it somewhere on my site! I'll make sure to read it!

  • OK - yesterday my school had our 8th grade fieldtrip it was good for the most part. The archery and the zipline were really cool, but the water ecology, making roller coasters, and the surrvival hike were really bad. As for the rollor coasters it would've been fine if we hadn't done it in class already. In water ecology we had to stand in knee deep freezing cold water! And on the surrvival hike we had to track through ancle deep mud and horse dung. And we didn't get to ride horses cuz the school spent it all on food that we hardly ate! Not to mention it was raining -A LOT!!!!!!!!! But hey - it was a whole lot better than school!

  • This year seems to be flying by! I can't believe that midterms are in two weeks!

Our teachers are finally getting around to telling us which classes we are going to be able to take in O'Fallon. So far only the math teachers have told us what class we can go into. I made it into Honors Geometry!!!!!!!!  For the other classes we have to go around and get recomendations from our teachers... not knowing makes me sooooooo nervous! Not to mention the fact that the teachers are always saying, "You want to get in the best classes possible for you because one course can change the outcome of your highschool career." And blah, blah, blah.

But hey - the most you can do is try, right?

About Me

  • My fav color is purple, but I also like blues, pinks, and greens. I enjoy horseback riding, swimming, reading, writing, and sketching. I'm smart, brainy, and sometimes (more like mostly) bossy.

I love animals. My little sister is allergic to cats and we have bad luck with dogs. I still have a scar from when my old dog bite me. We had to sell him. When I was really little I had a cat and a dog, but we had to sell the dog when we moved and we had to put the cat to sleep. So I can't have any.
